Staircase Make Over

You probably remember my Leather Wall post. After it was completed, the groovy staircase (far left side) didn't get along so well with the new wall color.

I've been meaning to update it, but haven't gotten around to it until now...
















































So here it is!
My new groovy staircase.

It looks a ton better, matches the Leather Wall, and I re-painted the entire hallway also (even the ceiling... what a pain!), covering up the old dark blue wall that was on the right side of the staircase.

I love fresh paint, it makes everything look clean and new! Although this may not be the end of it.. I'm exploring ideas to further decorate/paint it...

I also played around with scrapbook paper, modpodge, and my cheap lightswitch cover plate.

It matches the staircase & hallway well, and is WAAAAYYYY cuter than the cheap plastic!

I'm going to try it with fabric next.. probably on every plate in the house...



On to the next project....

In the Pink

I finally finished my 'In the Pink' quilt! I started this in 2009 (I think), and have been "meaning" to get it quilted and bound for at least 2 years now... you know how that goes.
Anyway, I needed a Valentines wall decoration for my front room, and this will be perfect!
Now onto the next project...
